Rome Early Bird Walking Tour

Tour Description.

Get up early and make sure you have a good breakfast before meeting your professional guide in Piazza di Spagna, in front of the Versace boutique. At this time of day, the city has barely begun to wake up.

The steps of Trinità dei Monti are mostly empty of human presence, making for a great photo opportunity. Take a look at the Keats-Shelley Memorial House from the outside, and then head for one of Rome’s most romantic monuments: the Trevi Fountain. Drop a coin backwards for good luck and learn the amazing stories these marbles have to tell. Next stop is the massive Column of Emperor Marcus Aurelius and a few steps away is Monte Citorio, the Parliament of the Italian Republic. Follow your Cicero through the narrow streets to another gem: the Pantheon, one of Rome’s most beautiful churches, clearly built over a pagan temple.

Your last stop will be Domitian’s stadium, later transformed into an oval square, Piazza Navona. There are some outstanding sculptures here, especially the Fountain of the Four Rivers, made in the XVII century by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The tour ends here, but your beautiful day in Rome has only just begun!
