From Rome: Gardens of Tivoli and Hadrian’s Villa Tour

Tour Description.

This full day experience begins with the pick up from your hotel in Rome by one of our professional drivers.

After about 1h drive you will arrive at Hadrian’s Villa. This important archeological complex is a stunning example of the architectural and artistic capabilities of the ancient Romans. The Hadrian’s Villa is huge, extending over 120 hectares. The main complex of buildings included the main villa, thermal baths, the library and a fascinating maritime theatre.

At the end of the 1.5h visit, your driver will drop you off at our feature restaurant for a replenishing meal. After the espresso coffee, you will access the mysterious Villa d’Este, built during the Italian Renaissance by Cardinal Ippolito II d’Este.

Appreciate the beautiful frescos and then move to the most exciting part of the Villa: the gardens. Filled with fifty-one fountains and water games, you will spend most of your time exploring the 364 water jets, over 390 spouts and 64 waterfalls. All these moved by an extraordinary system of channels working without pumps, only by the force of gravity.

At the end of the guided visit at the Tivoli gardens, you will meet our driver to head back to your hotel in Rome.
